Dr. Gregory Hanich, DVM
Dr. Greg Hanich grew up in Missoula and even as a kid, spent a lot of time at the Animal Clinic. His father, Dr. Herb Hanich owned the practice before him. Dr. Greg went to high school at Big Sky and started the year it opened in 1980. He attended the University of Montana for his undergraduate studies and went to veterinary school at Colorado State University where he graduated in 1994. His professional interests include small animal internal medicine, surgery and ophthalmology. He recently received training in performing the TTA procedure for knee injuries in dogs.
Dr. Hanich enjoys backpacking, rafting, sports of all kinds and especially fishing. He and his wife, Meighan, currently spend a lot of their time sitting in bleachers watching their three children participate in sports events and band concerts. He feels fortunate to be able to live, work and raise his family in such a great community.
Dr. William Duncan, DVM
Dr. Duncan is a Montana native who grew up on a cattle ranch on the highline of north central Montana. He received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1984, and practiced in Northwestern Montana for 17 years. In 2001, he sold his practice and moved to Missoula to concentrate on small animal medicine and surgery. He is one of the founding veterinarians of Missoula’s Pet Emergency Center where he continues to serve as an emergency veterinarian/consultant on a limited basis. Since 2004 his primary duties are as an associate veterinarian at Animal Clinic.
Dr. Duncan’s areas of special interest include orthopedic surgery and dentistry. He is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Montana Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).
Away from veterinary medicine, Dr. Duncan enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing with his family.
Diane Jontow: Veterinary Technician
Diane got her start in the veterinary field at the ASPCA in New York City after graduating from college. She has worked in Missoula as a veterinary technician over the last 18 years.
Diane shares her home with her husband, Josh, two children and her 17 year old cat Zelda. In her extra time she enjoys running, reading, volleyball, hiking and recently has immersed herself in Taekwondo.
Laura Daley: Receptionist
Laura has been with the Animal Clinic for 14+ years and she manages our client records.. She answers our phone, helps you schedule an appointment and works to find answers to questions you may have about your pet. Laura grew up in the Bitterroot Valley and graduated from Stevensville High School. She is an animal lover whose pets include horses, dogs and cats. Laura is also a volunteer puppy-raiser for the Guide Dogs of America.
Avery is originally from Florida but has called Missoula home for the last five years. She is an avid animal lover and finds great joy in caring for them.
In her free time, she loves to read, garden and take long aimless walks with her own two mutts. She is currently working toward becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Ashley is a Certified Veterinary Technician from the inaugural class at Pima Medical Institution in Dillion, MT.
Being a Missoula native, she enjoys what the area has to offer. Ashley and her husband share a love of camping, fishing, floating the river, Grizzly football and traveling adventures. She became a VetTech because of her passion for animals. Her animal family consists of horses, cats, dogs, ducks, chickens and miniature goats -- many of which are rescued.
Mo is a long-time MIssoula resident with a lifetime love of animals. She spent much of her childhood getting in trouble for bringing home stray cats and dogs.
Mo and her husband Joe have three children and a boxer named Keane. In her free time, she is usually cheering her kids on in their various activities or enjoying a crime novel.
